About

Ivan van der Walt finished his B.Design, specialising in Interior Design in 2014 where he won the National Innovation Summit Award, designing the innovation event, concept and theme.

​

He then started his career at the internationally acclaimed company, Brian Leib Interior Designs, getting the opportunity to work on 100+ projects ranging from small luxury apartments to some of South Africa’s super mansions, restaurants, offices and lodges, with one of his proudest moments being the lead designer for an international award-winning gym, international award-winning penthouse, jets and more in Dubai.

Ivan, being inspired to establish his own name in the industry and the desire to create beautiful spaces with his vision, founded Studio Walt Designs in 2020.

At Studio Walt Designs we believe that your space should reflect who you are and create an environment that you are proud of. We want to create experiences for each setting, whether it’s your home or a restaurant, invoking feelings, and not merely making it nice to look at.

Through experience, luxury has become a second language to us and we know how to translate this no matter what your budget is.
